June 24 (SeeNews) – The European Commission (EC) said on Monday that the European Union has disbursed 65.2 million euro ($69.7 million) to Bulgaria for the reinforcement of its electricity transmission grid aimed at supporting the integration of renewables.
The funding is part of a 2.97 billion euro package allocated to 39 energy projects in ten EU member states through the European Union’s Modernisation Fund, the EC said in a statement.
