Away from the track, athlete David Gillick – twice a gold medallist in his own right – drew rave reviews for his interviews on RTÉ with the likes of Rhasidat Adeleke, Ciara Mageean and Sharlene Mawdsley.
Gillick said it was a great event to be a part of and “it’s not often” a minority sport gets its moment in the spotlight.
