The Portugal Euro 2024 squad started with victory on opening day, getting things off to a strong start as they gun for glory this summer.
The Euro 2016 winners are one of the favourites at Euro 2024, thanks to their superb run in qualification and the stacks of talent at their fingertips, with Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to prove a point. And a last-minute winner against Czech Republic in their opening match certainly helped – though it was substitute Francisco Conceicao who popped up with the decisive goal, and not their captain Ronaldo.
