Sir Keir Starmer tends to use catchy phrases with numerous references to “working people”, or, as he loves to tout, his (single-handed) accomplishment of “change” in the Labour Party.
The UK was indeed yearning for a change, but not perhaps in quite the same way as Sir Keir intends.
Oh, there are certainly very distinct changes in tactics evident on the British political playing fields from the past fourteen years. What I have difficulty understanding though is seeing any “change” in Labour itself, which Sir Keir has gone to great lengths to convince us it has.
